“Frank A. Miller is driving from his home in Palmyra, Iowa, to Pleasantville. Most of the time he shopped at home in the small towns of Palmyra, Hartford and Carlisle. About once a month he went to Pleasantville which was slightly larger and had more variety. He is driving a spring buggy first used by English merchants because it was light weight and easy to load. Iowa farmers used it for similar reasons. The pioneer town of Palmyra is in the background.” Notice the Palmyra church. Frank A. Miller, 1867-1950 is buried in the Palmyra Cemetery.”
From Lloyd Eric Miller.
