The Pandora Club Of Hartford

The Pandora Club of Hartford first met on October 28, 1927. The club belonged to the organization of WOMEN’S FEDERATED CLUBS. Charter members were: Verna Evans, Nellie Soder, Alice Slack, Ermile Schooler, Ila McIntyre, Helen Schooler, Betty Henderson, Codie Coon, Katherine Smith, Exie Shetterly, Maude Art, Gladys Patterson, Emma Howell and Lois Art. The object of the organization was “the stimulation of mutual self-improvement, the dissemination of a broader culture and the encouragement of a more active interest in the welfare of the community and in the great problems of our state and nation.”
